Lockdown Learning Week 3!

Well done Year 5 for smashing another week of Lockdown Learning! Whether at home or at school, your resilience, dedication and enthusiasm have blown us away!

And what a treat for us to have had a lovely Google Meet with those of you at home!  We had a good chat, shared some riddles, went on a scavenger hunt and some of us even visited space…

Keep an eye out for further information regarding our indivdual Google Meets with you next Wednesday.

Today I would like to share with you some pictures of the amazing learning you have been completing both at home and at school.

Year 5 have been learning about the  Guru Granth Sahib, The Sikh book of scriptures, teaching Sikh’s how to live their lives.  Here are the pots some of you have made from a task linked to our learning about the story of Guru Nanak and the Jasmine Flower.  The pot was to symbolise the part of the story where Guru Nanak teaches that there is always room for goodness.

We are very impressed with your resourcefulness Year 5, your pots are amazing!

Year 5 have also been thinking about the surrealism style of art and looking in particular at Salvador Dali’s masterpiece, ‘The Persistence of Memory’.  Here are some of our own interpretations of time and it’s meaning, shown in the surrealism style.

Well done Year 5, some lovely creativity here!  Keep going, you are doing an amazing job with your learning, we look forward to seeing more next week!
