Spellings
This week please focus on these words, they all end with –ed. We have been looking at word endings and will continue to focus on these over the next few weeks. I will not be testing the children on these exact words, but we will focus on them being knowing that they need to apply -ed at the end of words. For example, I may ask them to write jumped. I will be looking for them to apply -ed at the end. Often children will write jumpt as it sounds like a ‘t’. We haveĀ looked at this recently so hopefully they will be confident.

Maths
This week in maths we have been looking at addition and subtraction word problems.
We have been focusing on the important information that we need to take from the questions and picking out key words. For example, if the question asks how many altogether we know we need to add. Whereas, if it asks how many are left we know we need to subtract.
Have a go at making up some of your own at home.
For example. Ellis has 6 Lego pieces, his brother has 10. How many do they have altogether?
