This week we have been focusing on money. Lots of us have covered this as part of our home learning during lock down so we have been recapping the key skills in class.

You can support your child at home by helping them to recognise coins and notes and their value. Your child needs to be able to recognise amounts and start to make amounts using different coins. Making 10p in different ways is a good example of this. For example 2 5p coins or 10 1p coins.

It is important that children understands the value of different coins. The coin that is the biggest does not mean it is the highest value.
