This week Year 5 have put their reciprocal, engineering skills to the test and designed and built some models of an Ancient Egyptian pyramid!

Being the resourceful class that they are, they then took their models further and included the River Nile, the Sphinx, ante-chambers and even some Pharaohs with their belongings to help them to the afterlife!

Year 5 have worked very hard this week to gain a full understanding of what the Ancient Egyptians believed happened to a person after they had died and we are so proud of their research and subsequent learning. We have learnt some amazing new facts – ask us about Ammit, Anubis and how the deceased travelled to the afterlife?!
