Welcome to Year 4!

This morning, Year 3 became Year 4 as they ventured across the unit to what will be their new classroom in September. We started off by playing a game called ‘MIX IT UP’ which involved children moving around the classroom and it allowed me to get to know them a little better.

We discussed what would make next year EPIC and created a ‘Classroom Contract’. Here is what the children felt would make Year 4 an incredible experience for all:

-We will be the best version of ourselves we can be

-We will be Resilient, Resourceful, Reflective and Reciprocal

-We will listen when our teacher is talking

-We will choose to be kind and treat others with respect

-We will look after the classroom and the resources

-We will always be honest

-We will be the best class in the school!

Finally, the children sketched a self-portrait of themselves. These will put on display ready for September in order to put our own stamp on Year 4 and make it feel more homely.

It was lovely meeting you all today Year 3 and I cannot wait until September!
