Over the last three weeks, Year 6 have been enjoying their music and drama enrichment afternoons with Mr Bell and Mrs Khan.

In their music lessons with Mr Bell, the children have been creating different pieces of music inspired by their current topic, ‘Frozen Kingdoms’. First, they learnt how to create polyrhythms using a range of percussion instruments, and were given the task of creating polyrhythms inspired by frozen landscapes. The children worked hard to interpret sounds you would hear or feel in the polar regions, such as icy textures, polar bears and penguins, and ice caps melting.

They have also been learning to sing in harmony and have learnt the chorus from a wintery song. Check out their fantastic singing in the video below:
