Year 3 have been working really hard in our English lesson to learn our model text ‘The Cobbler and the Dragon’. Please use the text map below to practise this at home because next week we are going to be filming Year 3 telling the story for you to enjoy at home!

Once you have learned all of your spellings, you could challenge yourself by seeing if you can put each word into a sentence.

They will be tested on Friday 25th November.

Reading

If you have a Lexia Login please try to do some at home – we are all trying to meet our weekly targets. It doesn’t matter if you have already met yours; the more you do, the better you get!

If you finish your reading book you can complete the quiz at home. Don’t forget you can quiz on your library book or home books too. (Not all books have quizzes but it’s worth typing in the title to check). Remember to take your time and think about the correct answer.

Maths

Times Tables

We would like the children to have a go at practising their:

 9 x tables

The children will have questions on the seven times tables that go all the way up to 12 x 9. Try to encourage your child to learn as many 9 x table questions as possible without needing to start back at the beginning, for example knowing that 2 x 9 is 18 rather than have to count in 9s up to the answer.

It’s a great idea to login to TTRockstars to practise these. The children’s logins can be found in their reading records.
