This week’s words to learn are:

Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum lists, these are words your child has to know by the end of Year 2.  Children are being taught strategies for learning spellings as part of their work at school.  Please encourage them to practice at home during the week, and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.  They will be tested by writing the words in dictated sentences.

This week’s mental maths facts to learn are:

Number pairs to 20.

Learn the pairs of numbers that total 20.  On Friday fill in the missing number, i.e.

20 + ___ = 20

3 + ___ = 20

12 + ___ = 20
