This week in year 1 we have been getting creative.

We have been making our own front covers for our new stories which we have been writing – they look amazing and will soon be on display in the entrance to the hall from Unit 1. We have also been making hand print ghosts – lots of us are very excited for Halloween!!

In maths this week we have been looking at addition and ‘adding by counting on’ using a number line. This is a very important skill which we will refer back to across the year. Lots of us have been linking this method of adding with our number bond diagrams which is brilliant!
