Meet our new batch of Bronze Ambassadors
Today, eight Year 5 children were chosen to become Bronze Ambassadors. They will join our current batch of leaders in Year 6 in order to make the school a healthier, more active place.
After receiving their ‘Ambassador’ t-shirts, the children participated in a number of workshops geared towards developing their leadership qualities in sport. A lot of the workshops got the children active and thinking about how activities need to be set up in order for them to be successful. In fact, we were introduced to STEP which got children to consider the following things when planning a sporting activity…
S = Space
T = Teamwork
E = Equipment
P = People
We will be putting our new Bronze Ambassadors to good use very soon as they have come up with a number of ideas that they wish to implement at Southill which will benefit other children and make the school even more physically active. Stay tuned…
A huge thank you to Sheena and Vikki who very kindly helped to transport the children to and from Wey Valley. I would also like to say a HUGE thank you to the eight children who represented Southill brilliantly. I cannot wait to see you demonstrating your leadership qualities to the rest of the school in the near future.
