For our PE lessons this term, we are learning all about how to play football and practise the skills required for attacking an defending as part of the game.
This afternoon, Year 3 practised working in different teams, using their space wisely and keeping control of the ball. They began by taking turns to lead a warm up, then they got in to pairs and practised a variety of dribbling exercises to help build their confidence with controlling the ball. They were brilliant at this and it was wonderful to have some very enthusiastic and aspiring footballers share their knowledge with the class too (well done – you know who you are!). Lastly, the children finished the afternoon by practising how to pass the ball back and fourth with a partner. I’m already looking forward to next week’s lesson now!
Well done Year 3 – you were awesome!

Looks like so much fun!
I loved being the leader and doing the chicken walk! Thanks Miss Hutton.
