EXTRA CHALLENGE: spelling rules for adding suffixes to words ending: consonant ‘y’ eg copy happy
- When adding ed, er & est, the y is changed to an i … eg copy … copier … copied happy … happier … happiest
- When adding ing, ….. the y remains … eg copy … copying
