Today we headed out of school in search of local landmarks. In our geography lessons we have been learning about famous landmarks in London, so went to see which local ones we could see today.
We walked up onto the hill behind school and decided this was a good spot as we could see a long way.
We looked for both physical and human landmarks and spotted quite a few. As soon as we got up onto the hill, Daisy impressed us all by saying ‘I can see Hardy’s Monument!’.
Other landmarks included Bincombe Bumps, pylons, church towers, large trees, cliffs and neighbouring schools.
Well done Year 1!
