Money, money, money!

Over the past week, Year 3 have been busy revising the names and value of coins and notes as part of their ‘Money’ focus in Maths. They also learnt how to convert money from pounds to pence by remembering key facts to help them such as, 100p is equal to £1 therefore 200p must be equal to £2. They then moved on to adding and subtracting different amounts which was particularly tricky at times, but they were super resilient and didn’t give up! We are looking forward to learning how to ‘find change’ when buying different priced items tomorrow.

Well done Year 3, you have done some brilliant Maths journaling, great partner work and impressed me with your use of mathematical vocabulary – keep it up!

Bethan 🙂
