Amazing Alliteration

As we reach the end of our ‘Persuasive Writing’ unit, we decided to have a revision lesson, so that the children could practise using ‘alliteration’ one more time before transferring this writing skill to their independent writing, as part of their ‘Hot Task’. Alliteration is when words start with the same sound. For example, Sammy the slippery snake came sliding.

Alliteration is a lot of fun, but it can also be quite tricky! However, Year 3 were absolutely amazing today and thought of some excellent examples! You can see from the photos below that they were given the task of advertising a food of their choice and at the end of the lesson they presented it to the rest of the class. The children worked in pairs or small groups and absolutely thrived throughout the lesson.

Well done, Year 3 – you are amazing!

Bethan 🙂
