How many legs?

We have had great fun problem solving this week – based around stories such as ‘How Many Legs?’ and ‘One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab’.

From a selection of toy creatures, we had to match the number of legs to number cards. This was easy for some numbers but became more tricky for larger numbers.

We also played a sorting game, matching pictures of animals and creatures to categories such as no legs, 2 legs, 4 legs.

There were also pictures to promote discussion about how many legs were in the picture – some were very tricky!

Well done Reception for being great mathematicians!
