Producing our own Songs and Sounds
This term, Mr. Keys from the Dorset Music Service has been coming in on a Friday afternoon in order to teach us how to produce music on Charanga. Every week, we have been developing different skills on Charanga and the children have had the creative freedom to use what they have learnt in order to make a piece of music.
Some children focused on making a track for an advertisement whilst others focused on producing a piece of music that could break into the charts! Today, the children picked the piece of music they were most proud of to share with the rest of the class. Mr. Keys and I were blown away with some of the music that the children had produced. In fact, Mr. Keys said that Southill were his favourite school that he works with and that he always looks forward to a Friday afternoon. High praise indeed.
Below are just a few examples of what the children have been able to produce since developing their musical skills on Charanga. I am sure you’ll agree that they are INCREDIBLE.
Well done Year 4 and a HUGE thank you to Mr. Keys and the Dorset Music Service for such an incredible experience. The children have loved every session and are keen to continue logging onto Charanga in order to create more music.
