As today is my (Andrea’s) last day as their year 2 teacher I decided to have more fun than we usually do! We went outside a bit earlier for break and some of the children enjoyed taking their books outside for a read in the sun.  Later on the children did a truly marvellous job of following draw with Rob – Caterpillar- which is the mini beast we were looking at for our non-fiction text. I loved the way they added their own finishing touches to their caterpillar like a little nose, extra antennae or lots of hair!
Before going off to assembly, the children enjoyed watching Early Man which they voted to watch. With it they had some chocolate biscuits and popcorn and we turned the lights off!

The year 2 team would like to wish you a very happy summer holiday from Friday.
