3, 2, 1…EGGY FOR TAKE OFF!

Yesterday, the children worked in teams of three in order to design a contraption that would prevent an egg from breaking when dropped from up high. The children had 4 pieces of string, a carrier bag, a small blob of blu-tak, 4 pieces of paper and 4 pieces of tape at their disposal. This afternoon, after deciding which contraption they think would work best from their plan, the children had 20 minutes to build it ready for launch!

Every group then received their egg and were eggtremely eggcited to witness their contraption in action. It’s safe to say we had some mixed results! Some eggs were perfectly in tact, however some didn’t survive the fall.

This task was purely to get the children used to working as a team, being creative and HAVING LOTS OF FUN!

p.s. Home learning will be set as of next Friday. In the meantime, lots of reading (remember to update those brand new Reading Records), TT Rockstars and perhaps you could even find out some interesting information about space!
