Self worth and time out from the hustle and bustle

This has been another enjoyable week in year 3.  The children had some amazing learning happening as they thought of adjectives and similes to describe animals from the Stone Age including woolly rhinos and sabre tooth tigers! The sentences were incredible and the children were so enthusiastic!
In French the children have been learning the alphabet and doing an amazing job at listening and responding.  Hopefully soon we can practice spelling names in French!
Computing was fun this week as the children designed their own machine which included an input, process and output.  A favourite was talking into a microphone with what you wanted, a machine would work its magic and out would pop whatever you asked for!
With all the amazing things happening it can be quite a packed week and so our Stormbreak focus this week was Self Care.  We took some time out of the classroom to stop, be quiet and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of nature.  Brushing hands against the bark and grass, listening to birds chirping and smelling leaves after being rubbed.

Wishing you all a very happy and safe weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Andrea
