THE HOUSE WITH CHICKEN LEGS 🏠🍗

This week, we embarked on an exciting journey into our second spring novel, The House with Chicken Legs by Sophie Anderson. To deepen our understanding of the story, we explored the prologue, analysing the characters, plot, and key themes while honing our inference and deduction skills.

One of the highlights of the week was bringing the house itself to life! Using descriptions from the book, the children sketched their own interpretations of the magical, walking house, carefully selecting quotes to enhance their drawings. It was wonderful to see their creativity flourish as they imagined and illustrated this extraordinary setting.

The children thoroughly enjoyed immersing themselves in the story, and we can’t wait to see where our journey takes us next!
