What an amazing day year 3 had on Wednesday! We were visited by Neil the time traveller,  who took the children through ancient Egypt. We looked at artefacts, wrote our name in hieroglyphics, sketched canopic jars, tried to put pieces of pot back together and played an ancient board game! Then at the end of the day performed a mummification! It was an absolutely brilliant day and the children learned so much to go alongside the topic we are studying at the moment.  The class asked lots of interesting questions too especially when they saw a photograph of a mummified body!
