Picture of the day: A pet picture for you to look at today -talk about what you can see in the picture, then try writing about it. Top Tip – encourage your child to sound out words using sounds they know. They might not yet know that rabbit has a double b in the middle or that eating has an ea sound instead of an ee sound. That’s fine – just encourage great sounding out.
Sentence starter ideas: They are……… (use tricky words on sound mat), The rabbits are………. I can see……..
Phonics: Letters and sounds lesson 13. Look out for this sound in our book of the week!
Phase 4 Challenge: Can you write words to match these pictures? Remember to listen for the letter blend at the beginning of each word. Use a phoneme frame to help and draw the pictures if you want to.
