Magical Monday!
This week is our final week of learning tasks as we approach the end of this academic year. The learning tasks this week will look a bit different – here is a quick overview.
Phonics – there will still be a daily Letters and Sound lesson.
White Rose Maths – I will post the link to the activities for this week on Monday but not every other day this week. Just use the link from today to find the daily tasks to continue with for the rest of the week.
Transition – there will be a daily task to help us all think about moving from Reception to Year 1.
Stories – There will be a daily bedtime story video from CBeebies. Have fun watching these together. They might give you ideas for when you play.
Getting Outside – each day I will post a link to a nature activities blog so that you can try some of these ideas but also get some ideas for the summer break. You might already recognise some of the activities!
Phonics: Letters and Sounds lesson 55. A review lesson.
White Rose Maths: Here is the link to the activities for this week. The daily activities are based around a book called How many legs? Follow this link each day to try them out!

Some great talking activities today – have fun talking about what you can see.
Transition Focus Activity 1: Favourite School Memory
Over the last year, your child will have created many school memories that they will cherish forever. Capture these memories in a fun way by asking your child to create a drawing or painting that illustrates their favourite school memory. This could be of a memorable lesson, a school trip or a game they played with friends. If your child has more than one favourite memory, they could create multiple art pieces and put these together to create a collage. Why not look back over our class news pages on our website for ideas and memories.
Bedtime Story: The Rhythm of the Rain
A great inspiration for some water play today. Why not add in some toy animals too?
