This week’s words to learn are:

Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum lists, these are words your child has to know by the end of Year 4.  Children are being taught strategies for learning spellings as part of their work at school. Use all the strategies to help learn how to spell a word that we have learnt. 1. Look Cover Write Check 2. Bubble writing 3. Draw the shape of the word. 4. The pyramid’. Ask your child to show you how these work. Please encourage them to practice at home during the week, and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.

This week’s times tables to learn are to memorise these teacher’s favourite times table fact:

Mrs Woods:    7 x 6 = 42 …. 6 x 7 = 42

Mr Prior:  7 x 9 = 63 …… 9 x 7 = 63

Mr Mason:   7 x 8 = 56 ….    8 x 7 = 56

Mrs Puddick:    12 x 6 = 72 …… 6 x 12 = 72

Mr Smith:     12 x 9 = 108 ….. 9 x 12 = 108

The aim is to answer any  times table question within 6 seconds

On Friday after school, please ask your child their score.
