Wonderful Wednesday!
Phonics: Letters and Sounds Lesson 52. Words ending in …..ing today.
Picture of the day: This picture is from a book by one of my favourite authors, Oliver Jeffers. The book is called ‘How to Catch a Star’.
Write a sentence or more to describe what is happening in this picture. Remember to talk about it first to get some ideas and structure a sentence. You could start your sentence with look….. there… the…. You could also include some colour words in your sentence today.
Maths: White Rose Maths Day 3. The dinosaur that pooped a planet! Lots to talk about today and some counting fun.

Other Activities
Art Focus: This is a painting by the artist Van Gogh and it is called Starry Night. Look at the picture and talk about the colours and shapes you can see. Describe any patterns you see such as swirls and lines.
Try to paint in a similar style. A great way to do this is to paint on tin foil (we did this in our class in the winter – do you remember?) Using cotton buds or fingers can create a great impression.
Here are some pictures for ideas.
Getting Outside: Take some small world toys outside today to create imaginary worlds for them. Ideas could include toy minions, toy aliens, space toys…..Take them in the trees, on the grass, on some rocks, in a puddle. Have fun!
Explore space through some of these espresso videos.
