please continue to sight read the words sent home with your child last week. These words will be in their phonics assessments next week and will impact upon the books that they are able to read next half term.

I will share the sounds and sight words progression grid with you at parents evening next week when we discuss your chlid’s reading progress.

Maths

It is really important that your child knows and can recognize and use number bonds to 10 and 20. Your child will be bringing home number bond snap! We have made this in class and have been pracising it as another way to get speedy at recognizing our number bonds. Please support at home by playing the game together, trying to make all of the number bonds quickly and accurately. Will have played it in school so your child will be able to explain it all to you!

We are also still working on number patterns, spotting them and recognizing the next number. Revisit last weeks home learning page for practice counting in 2’s 5’s and 10’s.
