Creative Challenge
To help you really get in the creative mood for poetry writing have a go at this challenge to make your own magic box. Please send us photos of your magic box. We would love to see what you have made.
Arithmetic Task
It’s time for you to show us how good you are at remembering the five times table: please write out the division facts for the five times table. Write them in order from 5 ÷ 5 = ___ to 60 ÷ 5 = ___.
Show your grown-up who will mark them for you. Please let us know how well you did. Good luck!
Next week’s mental maths will focus on continuing to learn the division facts for the 5 times table but we will ask you to answer questions randomly.
Maths task
Here are the answers to yesterday’s worksheet 6:
Today, we would like you to have a look at Lesson 7 Comparing Amounts of Money on pages 30 to 32 in the Maths No Problem Textbook. The focus of this lesson is to compare amounts of money, identifying who has more or less money and putting amounts of money in order. The focus on page 31 is to use an extension of direct comparison rather than adding the value of the coins. It uses the understanding developed during yesterday’s lesson. Please don’t worry if this seems like a complicated method. If you are happy adding the values and can identify which is more or less then that’s great!
We would then like you to have a go at Worksheet 7 – pages 31 and 32 in the Maths No Problem Workbook.
