This weeks spellings are linked with our instructions writing. Please support your child at home by applying the spellings in a sentence.. examples are below

First                 – First cut your piece of paper.

Finally            – Finally stick the eyes on your character.

glue                – Next glue on the arms and the legs.

careful          – Be careful when you are using the scissors.

Maths

We are moving onto ‘multiplication’ next week. In year 1 this focuses in sharing into ‘equal groups’. Please support your child at home by splitting objects into equal groups. For example, start with 10 cubes or coins. Can you split them into 2 equal groups? How many would you have in each group? Count to check that each group have exactly the same amount – they must be equal.
