Spellings 

The spellings for this week are:

strange
strength
suppose
surprise
therefore

They will be tested next week on Friday 6th March

Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum list of statutory words. These are words your child has to know by the end of Year 3/4. Children are being taught strategies for learning spellings as part of their work at school. Please encourage them to practise at home during the week, and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.

Maths Home Learning

This week, we would like the children to continue practicing the ‘Speed Table’ grids. A few things you need to know:

-I do not need to see the grids filled in (the are simply to help the children practise)
-All we want to see is a small improvement in their score each week, for example if they got 50 marks in the first week, they’re aiming to beat 55 in the following week.

-Focus first on the times tables they can do quickly and confidently then have a go at the rest
On Friday after school, please ask your child to see their scores. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
