This week’s words to learn are:

The correct use of the homophones there, their and they’re will be taught in class.  To be marked as correct the children will need to use the homophones in the correct context.

Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum lists, these are words your child has to know by the end of Year 2.  Children are being taught strategies for learning spellings as part of their work at school.  Please encourage them to practice at home during the week, and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.  They will be tested by writing the words in dictated sentences.

Count on in fives to sixty.

Write out the multiples of five to sixty, e.g.  5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60.
