Once you have learned all of your spellings, you could challenge yourself by seeing if you can put each word into a sentence.

They will be tested on Friday 14th October.

Reading

If you have a Lexia Login please try to do some at home – we are all trying to meet our weekly targets. It doesn’t matter if you have already met yours; the more you do, the better you get!

If you finish your reading book you can complete the quiz at home. Don’t forget you can quiz on your library book or home books too. (Not all books have quizzes but it’s worth typing in the title to check). Remember to take your time and think about the correct answer.

Maths

Times Tables

We would like the children to have a go at practising their:

4 x tables

The children will have questions on the three times tables that go all the way up to 12 x 4. Try to encourage your child to learn as many 4 x table questions as possible without needing to start back at the beginning, for example knowing that 4 x 4 is 16 rather than have to count in 4s up to the answer.

It’s a great idea to login to TTRockstars to practise these. The children’s logins can be found in their reading records.

They will be tested on Friday 14th October.

On Friday after school, please ask your child to see their scores, they will bring home a slip of paper with both their spelling and times table scores. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
