English Task
For today’s task, we would like you to share the story ‘The Myth of Pandora’s Box’ with someone at home. You could have a go at creating a story map for the story, like we do in school, drawing pictures to remind you of the main events.
Here are the links from the previous two days so you can read the story again:
We would then like you to answer the ‘Likes, dislikes, patterns and puzzles’ questions below, something we would normally do in school, which helps us to understand and explore new stories. Please record your ideas in your writing book.
Likes – What did I like about the story?
Dislikes – What didn’t I like about the story?
Patterns – Did I spot any patterns in the story? Does this story remind me of any other stories I’ve heard?
Puzzles – Was there anything I didn’t understand in the story, anything that puzzled me?
Arithmetic task
Please have another go at the activity from yesterday but use these questions:
How many fives make 15?
How many fives make 25?
How many fives make 5?
How many fives make 35?
How many fives make 55?
How many fives make 45?
Can you spot a pattern? (Hint: If it’s an odd number of fives what does the answer always end in/how many ones are there? If it’s an even number of fives, what does the answer always end in/how many ones are there?)
Maths task
Here are the answers for the Workbook pages from yesterday:
Today we would like you to have a go at Maths No Problem Lesson 7 – 3D Shape Chapter Consolidation which is all about remembering what you have learnt throughout the unit and using your knowledge of 3-D shapes to solve problems.
Firstly, have a look at the Mind Workout at the bottom of page 99 of the Textbook. You could use small cubes e.g. dice, or make small cubes using playdough, to help you work it out.
Then, have a go at the Mind Workout on page 84 of your Workbook and then complete the Review on pages 85-88.
