Welcome back to our home learning – I hope you had fun yesterday.
Phonics: Continue with suggestions from yesterday for the rest of this week – keep learning the sounds and tricky words. Can you write the sounds in a list of words? Sounds children often muddle up include oa, oo, or, oi, ai. Remember your sounds book, your sound board and the Alphablocks are there to help you.
Ask your children about using a frame (like the one above) for sounding out words to write – one sound in each box. You could draw your own at home.
Writing: Here is your picture of the day. Write a sentence about this picture – use a tricky word to start your sentence such as The, I, We……
Reading: Read another of your school books and look at the new reading news on the school website from Mrs Wood.
Maths: Use this link to explore with the Numberblocks – you could sing along with the songs for each number we have met. Why not create a Numberblocks picture too?

Other: Try some ‘Finger Fun’ activities at home to strengthen fingers and hands for writing. This could include pegging out washing, peeling vegetables, roll up paper to play flick football, lego construction or digging in the garden.
Have fun, from Mrs Puddick
