English task
Today, we would like you to try using some of the words from the story ‘The Myth of Pandora’s Box’ that we’ve been looking at over the past couple of days, in your own sentences. Please see the link below (Day 8). Look back at the learning you did yesterday to help you understand what the words mean. Don’t forget to play around with the words, practise and edit your sentence verbally first so you know what you want to say before you write it. Make your sentences as fun as you like, just make sure they make sense!
Arithmetic task
Today, we would like you to use the 5 times table and division lists you created yesterday to make and play a pairs game with someone at home.
First, cut out each of the number sentences and put the multiplication number sentences on one side of the table and the division number sentences on the other.
Then, turn them over so they are all face down.
Next, take it in turns to turn two over, one from each side of the table.
See if you can find the matching pairs; the multiplication number sentence and its matching division number sentence.
Who can find the most pairs?
Maths task
Here are the answers to yesterday’s worksheet pages.
Today we would like you to have a go at Lesson 5, on page 26, which is about being able to find different combinations of coins that equal the same amount of money.
Start by covering the ‘Let’s Learn’ part of the page and have a go at the ‘In Focus’ question. Once you think you’ve answered it and have explained it to someone at home, uncover the ‘Let’s Learn’ and compare it to your answer and method.
Next, have a go at the ‘Guided Practice’ activity on page 27, drawing the coins you would use to make the different amounts.
Finally, complete worksheet pages 27 and 28 in your Workbook.
