Spellings

The spellings for next week are:

environment
equip (–ped, –ment) – all three variations of the spelling
especially
exaggerate
excellent

They will be tested  on Friday 27th November

Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum list of statutory words. These are words your child has to know by the end of Year 6. Children have been taught a range of strategies for learning spellings as part of their work at school. Please encourage them to practice at home during the week, and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.

Times Tables 
 

Coming home today, once again, is a ‘Speed Tables’ Grid. Next week, the children will attempt to answer as much of one of the grids as they possibly can in 6 minutes. Feel free to use the grids that we’ve sent home in order to practice.

Some children, who confidently answered the grid in under 3 minutes, have been sent home a more challenging grid which involves the numbers being muddled up!
