Weekly spellings and times tables

Reading – Please encourage your child to read every day. It’s also great for children to have the opportunity to read with an adult. Please write in their Reading Record Books and ensure these come back on Monday. If children need to complete a book quiz at home, then simply follow the link- Renaissance – Log In (renaissance-go.com).

TT Rockstars – We really want the children to develop their times tables this academic year. We have set up an account on TT Rockstars for the children and their username is stuck in the back of their Reading Records. Spellings will be tested on Thursday 28th March 2024

Parents: all words are selected from the age-appropriate National Curriculum list of statutory words. These are words your child has to know by the end of Year 4. Please encourage your child to practice at home and carry out an occasional test to prepare them for Friday morning.

Times Tables

We will be testing the children on all of their times tables. The children will have random questions all linked to times tables up to 12 x 12. Please encourage your children to practice as much as possible in order to prepare them for the test. By the end of the year, children need to be able to answer all times table problems confidently in under 6 seconds!
