We are proud to host Forest School here at Southill Primary, complimenting our vast outdoor learning environment and supporting our varied, inclusive and enriched curriculum. Forest School is a child-centred, inspirational learning process that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. We are fully qualified to deliver this curriculum, with designated resources including a fire pit and seating area.

Through these regular, tailored sessions, children lead as they explore a recognised programme allowing repetitive contact with nature using all their senses; enhancing their holistic development in key areas such as spiritual, emotional, communication, intellectual, physical and social skills. We see confidence and self-esteem boosted, also improvement of team-working skills and boundary recognition.  All children who take part relish these new experiences with unique challenges and opportunities, the benefits of Forest School are significant.  Our wonderful, well-equipped outdoor space allows our children to thrive.
