1…2…3…DODGEBALL!

Today, eight children were chosen from Year Six to participate in a tournament like no other…Ultimate Dodgeball! We ventured up to the LeAF Studio School with Conifers Primary to represent Weymouth in a Bournemouth-based tournament.

The competition was fierce. Each game consisted of 2 minute sets in teams of 6. The team with the most people remaining (or the team who successfully eliminated every player on the opposing team) were declared the winners. Here’s how we got on:

Southill 4 – 6 Corpus Colts

St James 6 -4 Southill

KPS Cobras 10 – 0 Southill

Southill 4 – 6 Winton

Southill 7 – 3 KPS Lions

Sets were unbelievably tight and the children narrowly missed out on so many sets! A few seconds, a deflected ball or even a minuscule lapse in concentration were the difference between winning or losing. Unfortunately, we did not qualify for the semi-finals but the children had an incredible time and both Southill and Conifers represented Weymouth admirably.
