Today was our very first 2%er assembly. Being a 2%er is all about choosing to be positive, raising the happiness levels of the people around you and doing everything a bit better than you have to.

A 2%er refers to 2% of the population… It’s a scary statistic that only 2% of the population CHOOSE to be HAPPY.  2%ers live life to the full, make their dreams come true and live a full colour reality!

2%ers tend to have the following characteristics: FULL of confidence, have a spring in their step EVERYDAY, are ENTHUSASTIC, are FULL of energy, they LIGHT up a room, age LESS, & live LONGER. (Why wouldn’t you want to be one?!)

Although we haven’t officially started our Stormbreak sessions yet, we already have one little Stormbreaker who has really impressed her teachers with the way she listened and joined in with Copycats this week. Well done – it’s great to see that we already have a 2%er to celebrate!

Each week, on Thursdays, we will celebrate children who are doing things a bit better than they have to – those who are reading more, doing brilliantly in maths, taking care of themselves and those around them and playing sports for our school. You can also send in photos of you being a 2%er at home – send them to me at cwood@southill.dorset.sch.uk. It is set to be a joyful celebration of everything that makes Southill Primary such a special place.
