50 Courageous Climbers take on ‘The Wall…’

50 Courageous Climbers take on ‘The Wall…’

This week, Southill are celebrating the school turning 50 years of age. To kick-start the week in style, Adventure4All instructors (Harry and Zak) very kindly brought along their colossal climbing wall to Southill School in order to see if 50 chosen climbers could be brave enough to reach the very top…

Pupils in year 6 all the way down to children in year 1 came out to have a go at scaling the wall and we were all incredibly impressed with how resilient, determined and enthusiastic all of the children were. Harry and Zak were very complimentary our our climbers and how they became more and more confident each time they attempted the climb.

Fears were overcome, challenges were accepted and the 50 children who were lucky enough to take on the wall all had an incredible experience that they will not forget in a hurry! I wonder what other 50-themed activities are taking place this week…

A huge thank you to Adventure4All for your incredible expertise and resources today. The children had an absolute BLAST! If any child wishes to have a go at climbing outside of school (or any other outdoor adventurous activities) then feel free to take a look at the Adventure4All website.
