Circuits and Conductors
This afternoon Year 4 continued their electricity learning with an introduction to simple series circuits. We looked at the components needed to create a complete circuit which produces a output, such as a bulb lighting.
Once we had some amazing circuits completed, we looked at the difference between conductivity and non-conductivity, conductors and insulators. We predicted that materials made out of metal would complete a circuit but other materials such as rubber, cork or plastic would not complete a circuit and make the bulb light.
Have a look at our experimenting and see for yourselves, which materials made the bulbs light?
Fantastic resourceful thinking and learning today Year 4, well done!
Making the circuits were really fun🔌⚡️💡
