Dear families

As always, it has been a cracking week here at SP.

The Book Fair has been very successful. It’s on for one last time on Monday afternoon straight after school in the library. We will receive commission and free books for every book purchased. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.

Well done Year 5 who made Tom very proud on their trip to We the Curious in Bristol. It looked as though they had an amazing day and learned a lot! I always love to hear when Southill pupils are out and about and making us proud.

Next week we are looking forward to our KS1 Harvest Festival on Wednesday afternoon here at school at 2.00pm. Parents of these children are invited. We hope you’ll be able to join us. You may take your children home at the end. All children are welcome to bring donations for the foodbank. They will be very gratefully received. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Teachers are looking forward to meeting with families next week to discuss how well the children have settled in and the progress they are making. If you haven’t already made an appointment to see your child’s class teacher, then please do so through the office.

Please can I ask that parents help to keep all our children safe by not using the staff car park when collecting their children. Thank you.

As I write this, FOSS are setting up for the disco. Again, I want to extend my thanks to the volunteers for stepping in and saving FOSS. I know the children are very excited about the disco this evening. More details about other events coming soon….

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend.

Caroline
