December is here
… doesn’t time fly?
This of course means that it’s that time of year again where we begin to think about Christmas – its story and what this means to us all. We also give thanks and good wishes to each other and to those who are important to us. This year of course is a little different (to be precise, it’s actually quite a bit different) as for the first year in the history of Southill Primary we are unable to put on our spectacular Christmas productions, Christingle, Christmas Fayre or any of our regular festivities which mean so much to us all and to our school community.
However, fear not – we had a plan! Thank you to Rev’d Jo Haine and Rev’d Matt Renyard for recording this little message for us. Please take a look:
… and so, to mark the countdown to Christmas we have been busy preparing items from children across the whole school, to be released each day until the last day of term. Our 12 Days of ADVENT: Christmas Countdown begins tomorrow, keep an eye on our website and social media pages each morning and look out for something a little bit special on our last day of term (17th December)!
All items have been produced adhering to current national guidelines and restrictions, we have been careful to follow correct policies to help keep everybody safe and well. Children will only feature within their own bubbles. We’ve had lots of fun putting these items together and hope that they provide a little festive cheer with our own unique Southill flavour, forming perhaps the next best thing during what has been a rather unusual year.
Year 5 loved watching this…but please don’t eat all the chocolate!! We look forward to talking to Rev Jo next week 🙂
