Today we had a visit from the poet, James Carter. The children had a great time listening to and joining in with lots of his poems. We had read some in class earlier in the week and the children enjoyed sharing their thoughts and opinions on these!

Back in the classroom, we teamed up with Year 2 to write a collaborative animal poem. We shared lots of great ideas and were all very enthusiastic!

Our final outcome was shared in a whole school assembly at the end of the day!
