It has been a jam-packed week in Year 6 where we have taken part in many exciting activities!
In writing, we have started a unit on Dracula and have been writing letters from Jonathan Harker as he explains what happens to him in Castle Dracula. In Maths, Year 6 have been working incredibly hard on their fraction learning and have tackled some really tricky problems.
In our Geography lessons, we have been looking at plastic pollution and sustainability. On Wednesday, we conducted a survey with staff members and pupils about plastic pollution and what we can do to work on this in school. We then went out onto the school grounds to assess if there was anything we need to put in place to make our playgrounds even more environmentally friendly. The class came up with some brilliant suggestions that we are going to put forward to Caroline.
We had an amazing time playing in the snow on Thursday and enjoyed making our felt Christmas decorations. They have been placed on the Christmas tree ready and look wonderful!
This afternoon, Year 6 were treated to their class Dojo prize. The children got cosy in their PJs and onesies and settled in for the afternoon to watch Home Alone.
What a week! You have all been brilliant – well done!
