Today we started to learn about Advent as the time when we prepare for Christmas. In our classroom we have got a countdown to help us, along with a Nativity set.

In the afternoon we walked to the church to find out more!

During the afternoon we talked about how we prepare for Christmas. We watched a fun Happyland video telling the Christmas story.

Revd Matt Renyard showed us an Advent calendar. Then he lit a candle on the Advent wreath. He also showed us the church Nativity set.

We made stars to display on the church windows and took them with us.

We sang some songs from our Nativity.

We were very lucky to enjoy a biscuit and a drink before we walked back to school!

We would like to thank the adults who walked with us and everyone at the church who helped us in having a wonderful visit. Back to school to learn more about Christmas!
