Year 6 have kick-started the week with an afternoon of tag rugby!
We began the lesson by participating in different drills which focused on travelling with the ball and passing the ball with the correct technique to someone who is running or standing still. We also spent some time playing a game which required the children to move quickly with the ball, passing it accurately as well as side-stepping to change direction. The game was then made more difficult as the children were given a smaller space to move in, this meant they had to think carefully about where they moved, and how to find space with their partner.
It was fantastic to see the children supporting their peers and give them constructive feedback as they all worked on improving their passing skills.
Well done, Year 6!
It was really fun but it was hard to remember to pass backwards not forwards 🤣🤣🤣
I loved rugby !
I can’t wait to do tag rugby again
