Around the World and to the Thames

It’s been a busy afternoon! We began by introducing the children to the wonders of Google Earth. They were amazed at the prospect of travelling around the world at the click of a button.

To begin with, the children had the chance to explore and find locations from around the world. They found: where they live, Southill School, famous football stadiums, countries they’ve been to and famous landmarks.

We then used this computer mapping tool in order to locate the River Thames. The children then found information about this infamous river and noted it down in their project books.
