What a great day in year 2 making our beach huts. We have been very resilient and reciprocal helping each other to succeed with some very tricky tasks. We started the day drawing our plans then moved on to complete our frame using lots of maths skills to measure then cut the wooden frame. We used triangular corners to strengthen them and didn’t give up when they fell apart a few times! We needed lots of resilience but we got there in the end! Finally we were able to make the walls and an apex roof and add other important features such as a door, windows and even a porch. We tried hard to follow our designs. Eventually we evaluated our product against the design criteria to build a strong, sturdy and colourful beach hut with a wooden frame and strong triangular corners.
